LEADING PHARMACEUTICALS AND MISLEADING PROMOTION

Abstract

One of the important factor for the worsening con-trol of tuberculosis in Pakistan and the emergence of Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is the inappropriate prescription by the treating medical practitioners. This includes inadequate doses and inappropriate combination of anti-TB drugs. Poor patient compliance has been a serious problem even with proper and standard prescriptions.
